Yes, this year we’ve got a panel of celebrity judges — Chef Tony Geraci, MCS Dir. of Food Services and star of the documentary, Cafeteria Man; Rick Trotter, the voice of the Memphis Grizzlies; Tiger Bryant, owner of Young Avenue Deli and part-owner of the Soul Fish cafes; and Chef Ryan Trimm, a finalist for Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chef and owner of Sweet Grass and Next Door restaurants.
But they need some serious chili to judge. We’ve got some great contestants, but we need more! Click here for contest rules.

If you’re not competing, we still need your talent — your tastebuds! Just buy a $5 ticket at the door, and you get four tastings and a drink! Your votes help us choose the highly coveted People’s Choice Winner! This year, we’ve also got kid tickets – $2 buys a child a grilled cheese sandwich and lemonade!
We’ve introduced a new feature to our already awesome chili contest — a silent auction! We’ve got a $500 Zoom Whitening package, a landscape consult and certificate, summer membership to the Rhodes College pool, certificates for swimming lessons, Rhodes College’s sports camp, and Idlewild spring soccer registration! We’ve also got Grizz tickets and gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses. See the list of items here!
We still need volunteers to help us put on this great event. Join the fun! Click this button to register.
So eat some chili, go shopping and see your friends and neighbors!
All proceeds go to Peabody Elementary’s beautification fund.
