Thank You for Being a Friend… of Peabody Elementary!

The first Peabody PTA Volunteer Appreciation Night honored 150 generous family and community members for all that they do for the children of Peabody Elementary!

We even had a guest appearance from nationally renowned food revolutionary Tony Geraci, the new director of Nutrician Services for Memphis City Schools!

Tony Geraci talking to outgoing PTA co-president Mandy Grisham.

Geraci visited to acknowledge all of the great things happening at Peabody Elementary.  He has a special interest in us, since he lives in Cooper-Young. That makes Peabody his neighborhood school!

The Christian Brothers University women’s basketball team also came to our volunteer night. These dedicated student-athletes tutor Peabody students weekly in the STAR Tutoring program!

Our 150 volunteers accomplished so many things this year. Check out this touching slideshow created by outgoing PTA co-president, Mandy Grisham! Thank you, Mandy!
