Cookie Dough Sales = Cool Place for Kids to Play

So, it won’t buy the trees in the background… but money made from our Cookie Dough Fundraiser could help us get this amazing shade structure!


Our goal is to raise $10,000 from this cookie dough sale. That’s our share of the grant.  The rest – the KaBoom foundation will cover.  The goal for each student – 15 boxes of cookie dough.  It is a high bar, but this will make a huge difference on our playground.


This year, we’ve found even yummier cookier dough to sell.  They are made with premium ingredients, zero trans fat, and are Kosher certified.  Did we mention – they’re still yummy??!!

Try on a new job for an afternoon! A little of your time will do a lot to raise money to improve Peabody’s playground – a space that benefits students and the Cooper-Young neighborhood!

Peabody Spirit night this month is at Chick-fil-A!  You eat there, Peabody gets a portion of the profits.  It’s that simple.

2011 PTA Silent Auction Success


You’re #1 –  Peabody parents, faculty, staff, students, community friends, and adopters!


The baskets this year were creative and quite tempting…


In fact, last year… our first silent auction raised $2,800.  We thought that was fantastic.  

So how much did the 2011 Silent Auction raise?  We raised $3,300!!  That’s a whole lot of competitive bidding for just a few hours! 


Many, many thanks to all of our Midtown businesses and restaurants for their constant genorosity. 


And, of course, to our school AdopterCentral BBQ, for donating that delicious BBQ dinner. They made it easy to start bidding wars on bellies filled with yummy pulled pork, slaw and beans!


To wrap it up – many thanks to the Peabody parents, faculty and staff who made this night possible. Special shout out to PTA mom Kate Lareau for chairing this fun event!

November at Peabody Elementary Means BBQ and Silent Auction: Donate and save the date

On Thursday, November 17th –  the Peabody gymnasium turns into a shop-a-rama!


The 40+ baskets created by Peabody parents and faculty for the 2010 Auction

Last year, the PTA raised more than $2,800 on this one night for the library. That’s purchased Peabody students new books and is going toward a fun facelift for the library. 

So parents and community members – let’s make this an even bigger success! 

Donate items and, of course, come shop and eat!

When:  Thursday, November 17th 

               5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Where: Peabody Gymnasium

Eat:       Central BBQ – $5/plate! 

Shop:   No charge to shop! Credit cards welcome.
