Volunteer to Give Our Top Cookie Dough Sellers a Fun Ice Cream/Dance Party!

Screenshot 2015-01-05 00.03.39Our Peabody Eagles did an amazing job selling cookie dough this year — raising more than $6,000 to go straight to technology! Our best year ever! So, now, it’s time to reward the top fundraisers!

This Friday, January 9th, we’ll wrap up the first week back at school with a fun Dance Party/Ice Cream Party for the top sellers! And we’ve got A LOT of these eager little Eagles to serve Ice Cream to — 73 in all!

That means — we need parental help!

The more help, the less chaos and the more fun for everyone!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday, September 18th from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Conferences are scheduled on 15 minutes intervals. Please call the school @ 416-4606 to schedule an appointment in the office to meet with your child’s teacher for Parent Teacher Conferences.

 

STUDENTS OUT OF SCHOOL

Students are out of school Friday, September 19th for the District’s Learning Day for Students.

 

CHARITY EVENT OPPORTUNITY

Mrs. Wilkes, Peabody School Secretary, has been chosen to go to jail without passing go. On September 25, 2014, an actual MPD officer will come to Peabody School to haul Mrs. Wilkes off to jail for the Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraiser. Mrs. Wilkes will return to school in a limousine. Students who bring $1 to support the cause by Wednesday, September 24th will earn an “Out of Uniform Day” for Friday, September 26th. Please pay you’re your $1 to see Mrs. Wilkes go to jail. Our goal is $400.00.

 

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Starry Night in Peabody Park Tuesday, September 16 from 5:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.
  • AR Family Night- Parents bring your child to the library Wednesday, September 17 from 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. to take an AR test.
  • Refreshments will be served.

Science Fair, Popcorn Fundraiser, Spruce Day, Report Cards — It’s March at Peabody Elementary!

Science Fair

Come and view our students spectacular Science Fair Projects Friday, March 21st from 8:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. in the cafeteria.

Popcorn Fundraiser

Please support Peabody Elementary by participating in our Popcorn Fundraiser.  We are not only selling popcorn. We are selling tote bags and doggie treats. Funds from the doggie treats will be donated to an animal shelter. The Fundraiser will run from March 20 – April 4.

Spruce Peabody Day

Volunteers needed! PTA is sponsoring their annual Spruce Peabody Day. PTA and volunteers will work to prepare the outside grounds of the school for Spring.  Sprucing will take place Saturday, March 22nd from 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.  Go to this Facebook Event page to RSVP.

Report Card Informational and PTA Night

Parents will have an opportunity to pick up report cards early on Tuesday, March 25th from 5:30 P.M.-6:00 P.M.  PTA will have a brief meeting in the cafeteria at 6:00 P.M. Our Honors Program for this report card period will be Wednesday, April 2nd. Times are 8:30 A.M. for grades KK-2 and 9:40 A.M. for grades 3-5.
