The Peabody Summer Reading Challenge!

Summer break is here! It’s time for sleeping in, summer camps and family vacations.  And it’s the best time — to keep on reading!

Screenshot 2014-05-27 05.39.06This summer we are just challenging students to read different books and to turn in their list at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year.

Each list provided has books that students may read independently or for parents to read with their students.

The reading challenge is not limited to this list but must be an appropriate grade level for your child.

  • All returned reading logs will earn your child a pass to a Back-To-School Sock Hop!
  • Students will also be able to take AR tests on these books during the month of August!

Summer Reading List Log

Here are the reading lists by grade level:

Rising Kindergarten Reading List

Rising First Grader Reading List

Rising Second Grader Reading List

Rising Third Grader Reading List

Rising Fourth Grader Reading List

Rising Fifth Grader Reading List

Happy Reading!

Volunteer for the Last AR Store!

kids_books-jpeg-scaled500This Friday (5/9) is the last day for students to take Accelerated Reader quizzes that will count toward their 4th 9-week goals and year-end prizes. And they have knocked it out of the park this year! As a whole school, they have earned almost TRIPLE the amount of AR points that they did last year!!

Let’s reward their hard work with a great last AR store on Monday, May 19. We need volunteers from 11 am – 1 pm, but if you can only stay for one of the hours, we’ll take it. Sign up here on Volunteer Spot. It’s an easy and fun way to help out before another school year is in the history books!
