Fourth Grade reading teacher Ms. Forbes applied for this Donors Choose Grant, because she wanted her children to all read and discuss the Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
The project was fully funded and now her students will each have a copy of a book that reaches beyond district assigned textbooks.

In June 2011, the Peabody PTA held its first planning retreat. This one was strictly for the moms! First up – brainstorming ideas.
Part two of the planning retreat was held in July 2011. The moms took the ideas from the June retreat and worked in small groups to put those plans into action. A few of those ideas included new T-shirt designs for the school and… this website!
The Peabody PTA held its first ‘Chick-fil-A’ Spirit Night in April 2011. The event was held at the Midtown location, and according to the folks at Chick-fil-A, was the most well-attended Spirit Night held to date. Way to go Peabody Elementary and Midtown Memphis!
