We’re looking for a few good guys!
WatchDOGS (Dads of Great Students) is the father involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering
WatchDOGS organizes fathers to provide more positive role models for students and to enhance school security.
At Peabody Elementary, we need your help unloading students each morning (and your occasional involvement in a classroom or on a field trip.)
If you’re a dad, grandfather, uncle, or big brother interested in helping students unload in the morning or want to get more involved at the school, please let us know.
If you're interested, contact Josh Spickler at josh.spickler@gmail.com
Know your WatchDOGS!
We're collecting pictures of all the WatchDOGS in action, so you'll know who is welcoming your child to school. We'll keep adding to this page as pictures come in.
Frank Davis is one of the original WatchDOGS! In fact, Frank and Peabody father Charlie Lands did such a good job as a two-person team - they won MCS' Outstanding WatchDOGS Program of 2010! Congrats! This new group of WatchDOGS hopes to add to this fine Peabody tradition.
On Wednesdays, you'll see Peabody dads Robert Grisham (front) and Josh Spickler (back) helping kids out of cars. Peabody grandfather Sal Cachola (front) and Peabody dad Chris Lareau (back) are both on regular Tuesday patrol. Even a bunch of rain didn't stop Peabody dad Craig Blondis from learning the process on his first week as a WatchDOG!
